The Hope Of All The World
"For God so loved the world
This passage speaks to us about God's love, mans predicament, and Gods solution. Let's take a brief look at these topics and corresponding passages that emphasize them.
God loves all people from every background.1 He created us for His glory and enjoyment.2 His love is boundless in quality yet adheres to principles of integrity, grace and truth.3 In His love for people, He created a great place for us to live—planet Earth. We are uniquely made in God's image with the responsibility to populate, rule, and be God's representative over all the Earth.4 Man is designed to have a personal, fulfilling relationship with God. Our responses in this relationship are love, obedience, and worship of the Creator and One True God.5
So what happened? Why didnt we maintain our relationship with God? The first man, Adam, was created in innocence. However, he willingly ate the God-forbidden fruit that his wife, Eve, gave him after she had eaten it.6 The devil deceived her into thinking that the fruit would increase her wisdom and perhaps make her more like God.7
Adam and Eve's eyes were immediately opened to a state of being that brought fear, shame, guilt, and separation from God.8 That fallen state has made all of us subject to the power and influence of the devil, who tries to distract us from obeying God's Word and developing a personal relationship with Him.9 Adams willful transgression and sin have permeated the entire human race, resulting in spiritual and physical death.10 Planet Earth suffers as well.
All people struggle daily with improper thoughts, words, and deeds, and suffer with one or any combination of fear, shame, anger, depression, sorrow, unforgiveness, greed, jealousy, sadness, sickness, guilt, and pain— to mention just a few. We also battle inside with good and evil, right and wrong. This is far short of the glorious beginning mankind had with God.11 How can anyone stop this conflict?12 How can we find a way out from this predicament?
No one can escape the sin dilemma by himself.
The Good News for all people is that God had a plan to deal with man's fallen state and to reconcile us to Himself. He initiated this plan right after man's fall;13 many biblical prophets wrote about it long before it ever happened.14 God's plan was to send His anointed, holy Son as a human to dwell among men. He humbled himself to come in our likeness.15 He was full of grace and truth, and through Him Gods love is revealed and realized.16 This love is expressed in granting forgiveness, transformation, and acceptance to anyone who believes in God's only begotten Son.
Who is this loving Son? His name is Jesus, which means, "God is Salvation." Jesus came to seek and save all of us—because we are all spiritually lost and separated from God.17 He came to deliver people from the influence of the devil and spiritual darkness. He came to be a Good Shepherd to people who are roaming around this world like lost sheep in need of care. 18 He came to satisfy God's rightful wrath against sinful man.
We are all guilty of sin and deserve separation from a holy God. However, Jesus humbly and willingly died as our substitute, in our place, on the cross at Calvary.19 He provides a powerful demonstration of God's love.20 As a sinless man, He shed His pure blood on a cross, which satisfied God's justice and established a new and everlasting covenant, or agreement, for the forgiveness of our sins.21 By the power of the Holy Spirit, God raised Jesus from the dead and declared Him to be His Son. This resurrection confirms that Jesus' sacrifice satisfied God's justice. It provides hope to us as God's children, promising that we, too, will be raised from the dead, just like our Savior.
Today, Jesus is alive and well, able to save you from your sins and lead you into a loving relationship with the One True God for all eternity. Jesus came to share His Heavenly Father with us, providing the only way for people to be adopted into the family of God, to become His children.22 He gives life abundantly and will hold onto you forever. Nothing will ever separate you from His love. That is good news!
The Bible states that one day Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, will return for His people and kingdom.23 Are you one of His deeply loved children? You can be. Come to Him like a child, not prideful but humble, not self-sufficient but dependent upon Him. Come honest about yourself, your sin, your need for a Savior and Lord. If you want to believe, tell God so. Your prayer is not a formula, but a heartfelt conversation with your Creator and Heavenly Father. He desires that you seek Him for the forgiveness of your sins. Acknowledge to Him that you believe that Jesus Christ, His Son, died on the cross for your sin. Also tell Jesus Christ that you receive Him as your Savior and surrender to Him as your Lord.24 Ask Jesus to help you live for Him for the rest of your life. Thank Him for saving you!
If you just accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, a celebration in heaven is taking place because of you!25 Welcome to the family of God!
The Bible says,
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 5:17-18

For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.
